Drinking from the skull of a hanged man will cure all ills, so the old superstition goes. This one, (of bone china), is mounted on a polished pewter C. 17th style base fashioned as a tern of snakes and charged with engraved spells, charms and powerful seals. Approx 7" (180mm) high overall.

Based on John Dee's 'De Heptarchia Mystica' of 1582 and the Angel Magi system of the Seven Rulers. The names and seals of the seven Kings and their Princes are inscribed around the base, while the cup is engraved with the seals of the Four Watchtowers. With 14 worked bronze elements and 14 crystals inserted in the body and standing a huge 8" (210mm) high approximately. The base is 5" (130mm) wide.

The theme throughout is of The Trinity, with each feature being repeated three times, including the large amethyst Austrian crystals. The flying buttress legs each end in a triangular structure, whose niches house the bronzed statues of 6 saints.

A truly magnificent pewter chalice commemorating the Archangel Michael's victory over Satan, on the Day of Judgement in the Biblical 'War in Heaven'. The panels are engraved with images of Michael and a representation of Judgement Day. The base is decorated with the sculpted heads of St. Michael and the vanquished Satan and extracts from the scriptures. The chalice weighs 2 1/2lb (110g) and stands approx. 9 1/2" (240mm) high, and is encrusted with 24 crystals in black and white, representing the opposing forces of good and evil.
